Comfort Quilts is the Smithtown Stitchers community service project.  Our members
make quilts in various sizes. The quilts are distributed to local area hospitals.  The
project delivers approximately 600 quilts annually.

Please visit the Comfort Quilt table and volunteer to help.  There is always a need for
people to cut fabric into squares, sew squares together and tie quilts.  There are kits
of precut blocks ready to be sewn together.  These kits can be made into lap size or
twin size tops. (It's your choice)  They are a great way to practice new stitches by
machine or by hand, try out new threads or hone your piecing skills.

So join in the fun, bring your machine or just volunteer to help in any way you can.

MEETING PLACE FOR COMFORT QUILTERS!
Sewtime Sewing has graciously offered their classroom area as a workspace for
preparing and sewing our comfort quilt projects.  The
1st Monday of every month
from
12-3PM will be reserved for all the volunteers to work on comfort quilts.  Bring
your sewing machines, sewing supplies, and lots of energy to help with this wonderful
cause.
